SHARE: TAKING IT TO THE STREETS GIVES BACK

ABOUT US

 Share: Taking It to the Streets started with the support of Grace United Methodist Church in Sherman and is a 501c3 nonprofit. 
The purpose is to feed Veterans in Fannin and Grayson Counties who are homeless or who have food insecurity due to lack of transportation and low income.  
We also help with furniture and household items for Veterans who are transitioning from a homeless situation into permanent housing. 
 "Homeless" includes, but is not limited to, those living outside, in public spaces or abandoned buildings, in tents, in vehicles, in shelters not intended for housing, in substandard hotels/motels, or in emergency/transitional shelters.

Food is collected each month through donations or purchasing and is then distributed in person to Veterans who need the above criteria in Sherman, Denison, and Bonham,  Texas. Over 100 bags of food are typically distributed, and each bag can help sustain someone for weeks.
